Project DescriptionPainting with Light
The use of light in place of pigment on a canvas backdrop.
This project was an exploration into the use of light as a surrogate pigment on canvas. Using automated fixtures on a cyc and
programming various cue sequences, I was able to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of light as a medium. The
orchestration of cues was set to music, giving the piece an underlying sense of rhythm, and setting the
rate at which the “paint” flowed onto the canvas backdrop.
