Sean Hennessy: Lighting Design Portfolio

For the past 6 years, I have worked with Columbus-area regional production companies including EAT Theatre, Women at Play, Reality Theatre and Red Herring Theatre in additional design and technical capacities. I have participated in master classes with Jules Fisher and Benny Kirkham, and have been actively involved with the Ohio State/Vari*Lite partnership for moving light exploration. For the 1998 NYC Fringe Festival I stage managed Heart of a Dog directed by Randy White. I have performed onstage for years with The Chatham Players, and acted professionally in The Papermill Playhouse's Merry Widow.

Lighting

• Expertise with Strand and ETC consoles
• Experience with Hog 500, Whole Hog II, Vari*lite Artisan and Vari*lite Mini−Artisan consoles
• Familiarity with Vari*Lite and High End Systems moving lights
• Proficiency in AutCAD versions R13 through Autocad 2004
• Savvy in Lightwright, Autoblock and Beamwright
• Hand drafting and sketching abilities
• Full knowledge of conventional theatrical lighting fixture applications, specifications, maintenance, and repair
• Installation of Uni-strut lighting grid systems

Photography & Graphics

• Solid Background in digital and film photography
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with graphic design for logos, branding, icons and user interface components

Computer Skills

• 2 years experience of business experience providing in-home service and repair for personal and office computers
• Exhaustive understanding of Macintosh, Windows, and Linux computing environments
• Programming abilities in numerous computer languages, including Perl and PHP
• Full command of the Microsoft office, Adobe CS, and Macromedia product suites

Web Development & Internet Applications

• 5 years experience developing websites professionally
• Expertise with Web Standards, Accessibility and CSS-based Design
• Fluency in PHP, Perl, and MySQL for deploying database driven web applications, interfaces, and content management systems
